Assessment of the Stroboscopic Findings

The details of the oscillation cannot be recorded in full during stroboscopy. The recording must therefore be assessed later.

To assure an efficient analysis of findings and optimizing the workflow, DiVAS provides a uniform diagnostic findings form. Both the stroboscopic video including playback sound as well as the diagnostic findings form can be presented together. During the assessment it is possible to navigate within the video, assess and simply "pull" diagnostically relevant images into the form. The data acquired in this form are then automatically integrated in a summary in the form of a medical report.

While the video image is being considered, the mucosal wave, the form of the edge of the vocal fold, the periodicity perceived as a regularity or floating oscillation, the non-vibrating parts of the membranous vocal fold, and the duration of the closure can be evaluated.

The form of the final phase can be searched out of the video and entered into the assessment scheme on the second page. The images of the basic forms of improper closure of the velopharyngeal sphincter are graphically provided graphically for support.
