DiVAS Live forms the platform for telemedicine and facilitates audio visual communication inside and outside operating theatres. Image data from various video sources can be displayed on one monitor using picture-in-picture technology, e.g. to view endoscopy images and images from an operating room camera simultaneously.

If a second opinion is required during an operation, it is possible to obtain it on the virtual way. For example, a head of department can follow an operation from any network-connected workplace and, if required, provide consultancy. This means that the consultant no longer needs to be present in the operating theatre; an important fact particularly in time-critical situations.

Furthermore, DiVAS Live is ideal for teaching and coaching purposes. Live images can be simulcast from an operating theatre to conference rooms, lecture theatres and conventions.
