The protective effect by covering the cutting edge of the trocar tip occurs noticeably earlier than with other systems. The special cut and the optimal adaptation to the trocar sleeve decrease the effort needed to puncture the abdominal wall. A more sensitive use of the trocar is now possible while the risk of involuntary perforation is minimized.

The trocar consists of few parts only and can be fully dismantled. Cleaning and sterilization is therefore efficient.
