The MATRIX HD camera processor forms the basis of the XION HD video and documentation system.
The internal real-time compression of the HD video data according to MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 and its provision via IEEE 1394 / FireWire interface of the MATRIX HD camera processor enables the use of full HD resolution (1920x1080) for the entire imaging and documentation chain for the first time.

The XION HD camera head is extremely small, lightweight and fits perfectly in teh user's hand. Both of the ergonomically arranged function keys at the camera head can be freely assigned by the user. An optical parfocal zoom (f = 17 to 34 mm) allows the image size to be adapted without compromising quality and without the need for refocusing.
